Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this passage show me about God?

    • What are the different soils, and what does Jesus say the seed is?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about myself?

    • Which soil best describes your heart toward God's word right now?
  3. What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)

    • What weed — worry, riches, distraction — will you pull up this week?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who could you sow God's word to, trusting him for the harvest?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

God, make my heart like good soil that hears your word and holds it. Clear away what would choke or steal what you plant in me.
