Look back first. Did you study unprompted this week? Who did you tell? Confirm the habit held on its own.

Now the big untraining — handle it gently, because it runs deep:

I used to think witnessing meant getting someone to a service.

An invitation to a building is not a witness. The shift is from “Invite and Watch” to “Go and Make” — we invite people to the Bible, not the building. This isn’t an attack on the church; it’s a reweighting of where we take people first: to Jesus and His Word.

Read John 4:4–42 — the woman at the well. Read the key verses aloud, twice. Notice: she gave a testimony, not a sermon. That’s the whole model.

The testimony formula: “I found better water — come, let me show you where.” A short story plus a sincere invitation, under a minute, pointing to Jesus and His Word.

Practice:

1. Give your one-minute testimony to a partner, twice. Each time, your partner checks: did it point to Jesus, or to a building? That check question is the whole lesson.
2. Quietly and prayerfully, name 3–5 people you know who don’t yet follow Jesus. These names carry the rest of this part of the course.

Your “I will”: give my testimony to one person, by [date]. Concrete and dated.

Close by praying over your named people, out loud where you can. “Make me bold, make me humble.”
